Mission: scrap paper organization

Hello friends 🙂
After being inspired by Leslie’s scrap paper organization and watching her use them in several posts I decided that I should try to round-up all my scraps. Now this turned out to be a bigger project than I had originally thought but well worth the time spent getting it all together. I had scraps of cardstock stashed all over in this messy area. I found all sizes and shapes from small bits that I threw away to full sheets which I filed away where it was supposed to be in the first place. Levi ended up with a full shoe box of scraps for his artwork. It’s so refreshing to see how those little pieces of paper made him so happy. Give him some scissors and a few glue sticks and he is happy for hours. Now I feel so much happier myself because things are tidied up and in order. While I was on the organizing roll I cleaned out the filing cabinet and organized my ephemera collection. While my little space is still very cramped and filled with way more crafty goodies than I need….did I just say that out loud ??? nix that last statement… I DO need all that stuff… Just in case Brian would ever pop over here and read my blog 🙂 My area is small but I have plans to take over Will’s room this summer when he moves, I’m not rushing him out of here just saying I get first dibs on the empty room. There is still room for improvement in the filing of my scraps but this works for me. So with all this blabbering on I did get some photos and have tried several times to upload on YouTube but I’m not successful. I tell you it’s like learning all over again when I post because there is such a long time between my postings. so without further ado here is my tidied up scrap cardstock and space.

So here it is not perfect but it is going to work for me. Things have changed a bit the last few months with the addition of my hanging butterfly lamp and some things on the wall. I know it is a bit over the top with all the decorations but I find it very peaceful and I know my Mom would be proud that I made a fun space just for me like she wanted. I hope you are all doing well and having some fun crafty time for yourselves. If you have any questions about what I’ve done or suggestions on how to do something better just let me know. I value all opinions you share.
Take care my friends.
Love and Hugs,
Shelly

Hey it’s ME !!! I’m back finally

Hello friends  🙂

It’s been a long time since I posted last and wow things have changed here on wordpress my dashboard looks completely different so bear with me as I get reacquainted to my blog.

We are on our 2nd day with the kiddos home from school due to the artic cold. They are all sad since we just started back on Monday the 5th and they only got to go 2 days. We may be out tomorrow too with continued below zero temps through Saturday. This is how it happened last January so maybe it’s the new weather pattern.

So I have taken a lead from Leslie’s Blog and started to sort through all my paper scraps and have made a small dint in the mound. I knew I had quite a bit but am really surprising myself with how much there really is. I have it stashed away in so many places. With that being said I am taking photos and am trying to capture this project to share with you.

I will sign off for now Will needs a ride to work

Love and hugs to you all,

Shelly
